Rockstar Finland – Itinerary

Note: There are two different trips on separate weeks, but this is the itinerary for both.

Day 1: Arrive Helsinki

Hei Helsinki! Finland’s vibrant capital, where history converges with architectural style and combines with a laid-back vibe across beautiful islands and pristine public parks, welcomes you. This evening, gather with other Rockstars for dinner in the city center.

Day 2: Helsinki, Finland

Discover the spirit of Helsinki on a captivating city tour led by a local expert. Begin at the heart of the capital in Senate Square, where the grand Helsinki Cathedral stands as a symbol of the city’s identity. Stroll through the historic Tori Quarters—an elegant district shaped by 19th-century empire architecture—on a 90-minute guided walk. Then, enjoy some leisure time browsing the bustling Market Square, a lively hub of international flavors and Finnish charm. Cap off your experience with a visit to the dramatic Sibelius Monument, a striking tribute to Finland’s most celebrated composer.

Day 3: Helsinki to Lapland
Location : Ivalo, Inari, Finland
Leave the ordinary behind and journey to the magical north of Finland, where snow-draped forests and starlit skies await. Board a flight to Ivalo and step into the enchanting world of Lapland—a land woven with legends and wonder. Glide through silent wilderness on a reindeer-drawn sled and keep your eyes to the sky for the elusive northern lights. Your home for two or three nights (depending on category booked) is a cozy log cabin at the remote Kakslauttanen Resort, complete with your own private Finnish sauna—perfect for warming up after a day of arctic adventure. Then travel deeper into the Arctic Circle by motor coach as you chase the aurora borealis toward Inari, pausing along the way for unforgettable glimpses of nature’s most mesmerizing light show.

Day 4: The Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort
Location : Ivalo, Inari, Finland
Start your day with an unforgettable ride through snowy trails as you mush your own authentic Finnish sleigh to breakfast. After a relaxing meal, Santa’s cheerful Elves will guide you to a heartwarming visit with Santa Claus himself—right in his cozy Lapland home. Share stories and learn about his origins during an intimate and festive encounter.
Later, under the glow of the Arctic moon, meet a local reindeer farmer and his gentle Lappish reindeer, your companions for a thrilling sleigh safari through the remote wilderness of Kakslauttanen. Along the way, discover the deep cultural ties between reindeer herding and the indigenous Sámi people. Gather inside a traditional Lappish tepee, sip warm berry juice by an open fire, and soak in the magic of the moment as you continue your quest to witness the mysterious northern lights dancing overhead.

Day 5: The Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort

Fill your lungs with crisp Arctic air and take the reins as musher of your own husky sled team. Dash through snowy forests on a thrilling husky safari, led by a pack of eager, lightning-fast dogs who are just as lovable as they are powerful. Spend time bonding with your team, learning their commands, and getting hands-on with the gear that makes this quintessential Arctic experience unforgettable.
After the adrenaline fades, wind down with a traditional Finnish group sauna—then, for the bold, take the ultimate plunge into icy waters. As night falls, savor your final evening deep in the Lappish wilderness, whether you’re cozied up in your one-of-a-kind glass igloo under a star-filled sky or venturing farther into the quiet dark on one last chase for the elusive northern lights.

Day 6: Lapland to Helsinki
Location : Helsinki, Finland
Bid farewell to the magic of Lapland as you fly back to vibrant Helsinki. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at your own pace—stroll through the city’s iconic squares, soak in its blend of old-world charm and modern design, and discover the latest Finnish trends in an array of stylish boutiques and cozy shops.

On our final day, we venture beyond Helsinki to explore two of Finland’s most charming destinations: the storybook town of Porvoo and the artisan village of Fiskars. Just 45 minutes east of the capital, Porvoo enchants with its cobbled streets, colorful wooden houses, and deep cultural roots. Fiskars, known as the cradle of Finnish design, offers a vibrant blend of art, craftsmanship, and creativity nestled in tranquil natural surroundings. Both towns are rich in history, architecture, and flavor—perfect for savoring traditional Finnish cuisine and soaking in the country’s artistic spirit.

• Is this a full ship charter?
  No, because there’s no ship! 
• Are there playrooms, etc?
  Nope, Rockstars don’t need playrooms to figure out how to have fun.
• How about nudity?
  There are not currently any plans for clothing-optional aspects to this trip.
• Will there be other fun couples on the trip?
  Rockstar Adventures started as a group of friends who always coordinated their trips to the Hedo Resort in Jamaica. Since then they’ve started to branch out and travel the world with each other. • Is it All-Inclusive?
  Not quite. Many meals and drinks are included where noted on the itinerary, but you also have time to explore some areas for yourself!
