Rockstar Adventures Greek Odyssey 2026 Review

My Rockstar Adventures Greek Odyssey 2026 Review begins with a sunset swim in the deep blue Aegean. Floating with a pool noodle, I laughed with friends as the sun began to set. The water felt chilly, but the moment was pure joy.

That swim captures so much of what I loved about this trip. From October 11 to 18, we sailed from Athens aboard PONANT’s Le Champlain. Along the way, we explored Greek islands, visited Turkey, cooked with a local chef, and danced together onboard.

There was French champagne from magnums, wonderful cheese, and a surprise performance from a fellow guest. Above all, there were the people who made each experience more fun.

A Greek Odyssey with Rockstar Adventures

Nancy from Rockstar Adventures describes the approach as:

“Travel Forward & Lifestyle Friendly.”

For me, our Greek Odyssey lived up to that promise. Travel, culture, and shared adventures shaped the week. Meanwhile, an open-minded adult atmosphere gave guests room to be playful and curious.

Cooking in a wine cellar in Bodrum and swimming at Patmos showed the travel side beautifully. These experiences would have delighted me on any trip. Sharing them with our Rockstar community made them even more special.

What Lifestyle Friendly meant onboard

My impression was that most guests were already in the lifestyle. However, there was no pressure to participate. People enjoyed going at their own speed, whether they wanted to flirt, make friends, or simply explore together.

Rockstar has no playrooms. Guests can dress sexy while keeping intimate areas covered, and sexual activity stays behind closed doors. Shared spaces bring people together for conversation, music, and dancing.

I appreciated that balance because it left each person free to choose their own experience.

Old friends and new connections

Returning guests loved catching up with friends from earlier adventures. At the same time, new faces brought fresh energy to the group.

I especially enjoyed watching those connections grow. People who first sat on their own began joining conversations. Soon, they were smiling and finding their place among the Rockstars.

Dinner conversations became a highlight for their openness to possibilities. We could talk, be curious, and get to know each other without expecting the evening to lead anywhere. To me, that felt truly lifestyle friendly.

Le Champlain and the small ship experience

Le Champlain gave us an intimate setting for the week. Because we kept seeing familiar faces, we could pick up conversations and build friendships over several days.

The lounges also gave us choices at night. Music and social gatherings drew guests to the Main Lounge. Meanwhile, the Blue Eye Lounge offered an unusual setting beneath the waterline.

Cabin preferences varied. Some guests loved their cozy rooms, while others wanted more space. Choosing a cabin that suits your needs matters on a smaller ship.

For me, the ship’s greatest appeal was how easily it brought people together.

Food and dining on our Greek Odyssey cruise

I found something good to eat every night. When the specials didn’t catch my fancy, I turned to the “always available” choices, including a cheeseburger. Sometimes that was exactly what I wanted.

We particularly enjoyed Le Grill on Deck 3. In fact, we preferred it to the main dining room, and it became our favorite place for dinner.

Maison Bordier butter and wonderful cheese

Then there was the butter. Maison Bordier’s Beurre Bordier, in both doux and demi-sel, was quite possibly the best butter on earth to me.

The cheese selection was also one of the best I have ever enjoyed. Those details still make me smile when I think about our meals.

Afternoon programs added chocolate, crêpes Suzette, French specialties, and macarons. Meanwhile, the welcome and farewell gala dinners gave the week a sense of occasion.

Guests had different views on the dining. My own experience, however, was that I could always find something I enjoyed.

Caviar and iced vodka tastings

The special tastings brought something different each night. My two favorites were the caviar with iced vodka and the Ibérico ham tasting.

They gave us another reason to gather, taste, and enjoy each other’s company. I also loved the French champagne that the team poured from magnums throughout the trip. That generous touch made our time onboard feel festive.

Music and a surprise Rockstar performance

One of our new Rockstar guests turned out to be an actual rock star. This amazing guy prefers to remain anonymous in this review. However, his showstopping performance deserves a mention: he lit up the dance floor.

A professional pianist, he surprised us with a singalong featuring the Beatles, Elton John, and Prince’s “Purple Rain.” Then came a fantastic burst of Jerry Lee Lewis-style piano rock.

We sang, we danced, and we loved it. What a treat to discover that someone sharing our adventure could put on a show like that.

The ship’s singers and dancers also earned warm praise from guests. Some compared them favorably with performers on much larger ships. In addition, Mettle and Tastey DJ brought music to afternoons and evenings throughout the programs.

One guest told me they had not danced in ages and were enjoying it again. I understood the feeling.

ABBA disco and Greek gods and goddesses

The ABBA disco party was one of our favorite nights. Guests dressed in ’70s costumes, and we had so much fun dancing and singing along.

The Greek band on our second-to-last night was fantastic, too. With guests dressed as gods and goddesses, the costumes and live music made a wonderful combination.

These evenings let us dress up, be playful, and enjoy ourselves at our own pace. Each night also brought a different theme:

  • White Night
  • Mediterranean Elegance
  • Disco ABBA Dance Party
  • Aegean Blue
  • Santorini Sunset
  • God and Goddesses
  • After Dark

Before dinner or the evening’s entertainment, the Rockstar Rendez-vous gatherings gave us a regular time to come together. From there, guests could enjoy the shows, music, and dancing.

Greek Odyssey highlights in Greece and Turkey

Our route included Athens, Patmos, Rhodes, Bodrum, Santorini, Delos, Mykonos, and Hydra. Each place offered a different experience, although rough conditions prevented our landing at Santorini.

Athens and our first evening

Athens gave us a lively starting point. Guests discovering this part of the world for the first time spoke warmly about their visit to the city.

Our first evening program included a welcome gathering, sailaway cocktails, and a white evening party. Together, they gave us a sociable start before our first island stop.

A sunset swim at Patmos

Our swim stop at Patmos on Monday, October 12, became one of my favorite memories.

First, PONANT’s safety team put out lifelines and positioned two safety Zodiacs nearby. A lifeguard on a paddleboard also watched over the swimmers.

Then came the part I loved: guests leaping into that deep blue Aegean Sea. The water felt a little chilly, and jumping in was exhilarating.

We floated with pool noodles, laughing together as the sun began to set. I can still picture us out there. Pure joy and bliss describe it perfectly.

Earlier options in the Patmos program included local traditions, crafts and flavors, or a walk to the Gardens of Hosios Christodoulos.

Rhodes and time to choose your own adventure

Rhodes offered another range of outings, including a culinary adventure, a jeep safari, and time by the sea.

That choice mattered because guests wanted different things from their day. Some preferred a guided excursion. Others chose only the activities that caught their interest and left time for their own plans.

Cooking with Aslı Mutlu in Bodrum

Our Bodrum cooking class was one of the trip’s great surprises. A rainy day became time with good friends, wine, and local recipes under chef Aslı Mutlu’s guidance.

We cooked beside wine casks in the cellar while classical music played. Our hosts told us the music plays day and night. The owner believes beautiful music improves the wine, and I loved that detail.

Aslı leads the kitchen at Karnas Vineyards, whose restaurant features in the MICHELIN Guide. Ancient olive trees, ripe olives, pomegranates, and quince added to the setting around us.

The meze and filo dishes we made

First, we prepared four meze:

  • Braised cranberry beans that we shucked ourselves
  • A macerated eggplant-skin salad
  • Eggplant braised in a lemon sauce
  • Broccoli with tahini and pomegranate

Next came two filo dishes. We folded spinach-filled triangles and rolled a beef filling into pastry roses.

For the roses, we baked the pastry to dry it, then boiled it like pasta. Finally, we served it over Greek yogurt with olive oil. That method made the class especially interesting.

There was fresh bread, along with olive oil and Kalamata olives from the property. Baked filo crackers and a cucumber-and-yogurt dip rounded out the spread.

Later, we learned that some of our food reached friends on the wine-tasting excursion. I loved discovering that our two outings had come together in that unexpected way.

Cooking local food, sharing wine, and enjoying friends in that cellar made the rainy day a highlight. It was a lovely example of the travel experience at the heart of Rockstar Adventures.

Santorini and a change of plans

Rough conditions prevented our landing at Santorini, so we spent the day onboard instead. Naturally, guests felt disappointed about missing a place they had traveled so far to see.

Those who watched the tender could see the difficult conditions. They understood the decision, even while wishing for a different outcome.

However, guests also praised how quickly the Rockstar team adapted. The revised program offered music, games, a photography workshop, and other ways to enjoy our unexpected day together.

Delos and Mykonos

The next day’s program paired a morning at Delos with an afternoon at Mykonos. An archaeological visit came first, followed by options for a walking tour or time ashore.

Guests praised discovering new places and seeing familiar destinations from a fresh angle. They also appreciated guides who brought knowledge and humor to their outings.

Hydra and our farewell evening

Hydra was our final island stop before returning to Athens. Guests could choose a history walk, a hike, or free time exploring shops on this car-free island.

Later, cocktails, a gala dinner, and an After Dark party brought the week toward its close. By then, we had plenty of shared memories to talk about.

Quieter moments and time for yourself

Alongside the excursions and parties, the programs included stretching, yoga, Pilates, meditation, and photography workshops.

Leading meditation was part of my own contribution to the trip. Hearing guests’ appreciation afterward meant a lot to me.

Some people wanted to join as many activities as possible. Others happily skipped something and relaxed. That freedom also reflected the spirit of the week: enjoy yourself at your own pace.

Who would enjoy Rockstar Adventures

I would recommend this experience to three groups:

  • Established lifestyle travelers who want more culture and exploration
  • Curious newcomers who would like to take things slowly
  • Open-minded travelers with no interest in lifestyle participation

For all three, the shared interest is travel within an adult, sexually open-minded community. You can enjoy the conversations, parties, and friendships without taking anything further.

For newcomers in particular, that freedom makes Rockstar a welcoming entry point.

However, if sexual “action” is your main reason for booking a swingers’ trip, Rockstar probably isn’t your best fit. Here, any private connection is an optional extra to a journey built around travel and shared experiences.

That balance is precisely what I enjoyed about our Greek Odyssey.

My Rockstar Adventures Greek Odyssey 2026 Review verdict

Our Greek Odyssey delivered on Nancy’s promise of “Travel Forward & Lifestyle Friendly.” The destinations gave us reasons to explore, while the group gave us people to share those experiences with.

I will remember floating in the Aegean at sunset and cooking in that wine cellar in Bodrum. Equally, I will remember our guest pianist, the Greek band, the caviar, and the champagne.

Above all, I loved watching new guests find their place among returning friends. Those connections gave the week its warmth.

If you enjoyed my Rockstar Adventures Danube River Cruise review, you will recognize that thread. The setting changes, but the pleasure of sharing the journey stays with me.
